I am a freshman in college. Ms. Pedneau has helped me so much through the years. She never failed to make our time not just about learning, but also so fun. I looked forward to them every week. Through elementary, middle school, and high school, I never found someone who helped me the way Ms. Pedneau helped me back when I was with her. - SC
Randa is wonderful! At age ten, my granddaughter was unable to read simple three letter words. Randa has given her the ability to read and so much more. She has instilled in her the self-confidence to succeed. She is the best! - JM
My son worked with Randa for over two years, and we had an amazing experience in every way. Randa is sweet, kind, and compassionate. She treats her students as she would her own. She understands that dyslexia can be hard on a child’s confidence, and she works to build that confidence each and every session. She is patient and makes the hard work seem fun. Randa is a good communicator with both students and families. We are forever grateful for the work Randa was able to accomplish with our son. Highly recommend Randa to anyone with a child struggling with dyslexia. - SE
Randa has been invaluable to our family. She brings an enormous wealth of experience and wisdom with her every day to gently steer and guide our child to success. Randa’s fun approach to teaching has given our daughter the support she needs but more than that, an enormous amount of confidence and a renewed love of reading. We are grateful! - MGM
Randa was a God-send for my son. In the span of a year, she helped him go from not recognizing the difference between multiple letters to becoming a top reader in his class. He loved working with her and has developed a voracious love of reading.- GA
I cannot express how much having Randa on our educational team has meant to me and to my daughter. Her gains in reading are spilling over into her other studies, and it’s beautiful to watch! - MD
Working with Randa was life changing! My son went from struggling with reading to thriving. And his confidence and self esteem have returned. She truly is a gifted therapist. - RM
I am a freshman in college. I met Ms. Pedneau when I was in 4th grade. I had just left my elementary school halfway through the year because of my dyslexia and not having a teacher who could help accommodate my educational needs. With that school making me feel like I was always an outsider, meeting Ms. Pedneau changed everything. She taught me different strategies and skills to exceed in reading and writing, while also boosting my confidence immensely. She made learning enjoyable and engaging. For that, I will always be grateful. I worked with Ms. Pedneau whenever I needed her all the way up to early high school and still have the opportunity to keep in touch with her to this day! She always makes an effort to stay in touch with all of her students. Without meeting Ms. Pedneau, I don’t know if I would have the confidence that I do now when it comes to conquering my first ever year of college English class. - SP
I feel so blessed that we found Randa when my daughter was in elementary school and began working with her. She did not enjoy reading and had difficulty with spelling and sounding out words. Randa worked with her weekly and drastically improved her grades and self-confidence. She was so helpful that my daughter asked to work with her again in high school. Randa was our guardian angel and is one of the sweetest and kindest people I have ever met. She is patient, fun, professional, caring and my daughter always looked forward to her time with Randa. Randa went the extra mile and advocated with the school system for accommodations for my daughter. I highly recommend Randa! - SR
Randa was instrumental in helping both my girls to have the tools and skills to be a successful student in a rigorous classical curriculum. She was also an emotional support in the hard days and helped build their confidence as a student. She was very flexible and willing to work with the school and around their schedules to give tutoring at times they would not miss academic class and important activities. Most of all she is a cherished, trusted, and caring friend and supporter for them even now when they are no longer her students. - LW
When Ms. Randa greets you, she has a huge smile on her face! She welcomes you with kindness and enthusiasm! While working with her, she checks to see if you need any help. She makes flashcards fun to remember and say and gets to know you really well! As a student of hers now, I love how on special days we will have a game day, but she mixes in something that ties to what you are working on with her. Also, the affirmations that I made with her have stuck with me, and I remember them when I go throughout my day. I even have them written on my whiteboard in my locker. Ms. Randa has helped my reading skills improve and is a sweet and fun CALT to work with! - GA
My son was a curious, engaged student and was particularly captivated by story-telling. Being dyslexic, however, presented various challenges for him. ~ Randa started tutoring him in 5th grade when he was attending a University Model School. Randa’s organizational training, teaching skills, professional nurturing, along with the value she placed on patience and good work, helped prepare my son for junior high and beyond. Near the end of his 6th grade year, he was accepted into a rigorous five-day per week traditional school. ~ Randa continued to work weekly with my son in junior high. Her professional skills helped to provide a seamless transition into a new and challenging school. She taught him organizational and study tools for each subject, as well as helping him learn to advocate for himself. She also served as an advisor to me (mom) and his teachers on an “as needed” basis. Most teachers were not trained in the strengths and weaknesses of a dyslexic learner, thus Randa’s professional input was helpful and rewarding for both my son and his teachers. ~ As my son transitioned into 9th grade, he was able to manage his academics and advocate for himself. His junior year, he scored very well on his SAT, with a particularly high English score. HIs senior year, he was accepted to various universities and now plays D-1 Football at Colorado State. My son continues to use the tools taught to him by Randa and is thriving in his college environment. ~ Randa’s professional reputation has spread among other families at the school, and she continues to work there with several students. - LP
My daughter was 11 years old and transferring to a new school when we got her dyslexia diagnosis. We were told that it would be hard to remediate, given her age. I remember feeling very overwhelmed and frustrated and had no idea what to do next, as we were entering a school without resources. Someone gave me Randa’s number, and it was a gift from God! She spent a lot of time talking to me, going over the diagnosis, educating me and coming up with an accelerated plan of action. Randa worked with the school to coordinate a time for her to come in and work with my child. Randa devised the curriculum timeline. I never had to get into the details of what they were doing because Randa took control of the situation and I was confident from the frequent updates that my child was progressing. ~ That covers the business side of things. I have to also add that Randa was a real angel to my child. My shy, anxious, and unconfident child just loved working with Randa. She is the sweetest woman you’ll ever meet and she really treated my child like her own. My daughter’s confidence really grew through her sessions and she became more confident in the classroom. Many years later, I can say that, while she still doesn’t love to read, she is a thriving straight A student in a very competitive school. Thank you, Randa! - SS
When people ask me who I use for a CALT, I’m so proud to say Randa. I feel like we hit the jackpot with her. At first I didn’t know what to expect with the program, but I sat in on one virtual session and was blown away with how she balanced diligence with care for my child. My daughter has excelled with Randa’s tutoring. She is now at or above grade level. Randa is a gem, a true professional and wonderful with my daughter. - SA
